The Role:

We’re looking for an analytical and driven Principal Consultant (Energy Modeller) to join our Product Team. You’ll work closely with clients, users, and internal teams to design and deliver advanced energy modelling and optimisation solutions that power our software platform.

This role blends technical modelling, product development, and strategic consulting — ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, data, and real-world impact.

Key Responsibilities:

Gather and interpret user requirements from utilities, local authorities, and developersDesign, test, and refine optimisation algorithms for energy modelling and forecastingCollaborate with software engineers and data scientists to integrate models into live productsConduct research on emerging industry trends and modelling techniquesProduce clear, high-quality documentation for both technical and non-technical audiencesSkills & Experience:

Essential

Degree in a numerate or quantitative discipline (e.g. Physics, Engineering, Computer Science, Maths)1–3 years of relevant professional experienceStrong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex ideas clearlyNice to Have

Familiarity with energy systems, scenario modelling, or forecasting toolsExperience leading small teams or managing projectsAwareness of product management or Agile software development processesWhy Join Us
