Shift Energy Group is seeking an Operations Manager for their Victoria, BC branch. This permanent, full-time role involves overseeing operations, including warehouse management, logistics, fleet maintenance, and project coordination. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Operations Manager to oversee the operational aspects of our Victoria branch and satellite Island locations. If you are passionate about renewable energy, thrive in fast-paced environments, and excel in leadership roles, we’d love to hear from you .

Your Role

As the Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of our Victoria branch. You will oversee field team management, warehouse operations, safety protocols, logistics, fleet and fleet maintenance, onboarding and offboarding of field team members, and project coordination. By driving operational excellence, you will help us deliver projects on time, within budget, and with exceptional customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
• Manage all operational aspects of the Victoria branch and satellite locations, including warehouse operations, logistics, fleet, and project coordination.
• Oversee inventory management, ensuring efficient storage, tracking, and distribution of materials and equipment.
• Coordinate shipments, ensuring timely and accurate delivery to project sites.
• Implement and maintain safety standards and protocols across all operational activities.
• Manage and maintain the company’s fleet, ensuring all vehicles are serviced, safe, and compliant with regulations.
• Schedule and track vehicle usage, ensuring availability to support operational needs.
• Collaborate with field team leads and project managers to allocate resources effectively.
• Oversee the onboarding and offboarding process for field team members, ensuring smooth transitions and proper training or decommissioning.
• Support project teams in resolving customer service requests and maintaining high satisfaction levels.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
• Lead and manage operations support staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
• Prepare and present operational performance reports, including KPIs, to senior leadership.
• Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and innovations to drive continuous improvement.

About You

We’re looking for a hands-on leader with a passion for operational excellence and a drive to succeed in the renewable energy industry.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management, preferably in construction, electrical, or renewable energy sectors.
• Proven expertise in warehouse management, logistics, inventory control, fleet management, and team onboarding/offboarding.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to multitask and perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP software.
• Familiarity with BC safety regulations and industry standards.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to provide a driving abstract.
• Positive attitude with a collaborative and team-oriented mindset.
• Ability to pass a criminal record check.
