Lucid Motors is seeking an NPI Project Engineer II for their Casa Grande, AZ location. The role involves driving product quality throughout the development process, requiring technical expertise and interpersonal skills. We are currently seeking an innovative new product Introduction (NPI) Engineer to contribute, promote and drive best-in-class product quality at the various stages of the product development process. This is a high-performance role that would have significant visibility to both within and outside the organization, and will require technical expertise, passion, interpersonal skills to collaborate and influence outcomes, work through complexity and fast- paced environment, and establishing credibility with peers and senior management.


To ensure success, you should have deep professional technical experience implementing quality and reliability best practices, innovations and ensure validation. You will combine your expertise to advance product excellence and innovation. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate excellence in their respective fields, to possess the ability to learn quickly and to strive for product validation within a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate exhibits a can-do attitude and approaches his or her work with vigor and determination and will have a strong track record of quality program management, preferably in an automotive or parallel industry environment.


You Will:



Manage day to day tasks, while driving mid/long term improvements
Demonstrated success in fast-paced, changing environments
Skilled in working with multiple organizations across different cultures and regions
Manage to work in a small, motivated group within a larger origination
Production Trail run experience is a must
Candidates will be expected to demonstrate excellence in their respective fields, to possess the ability to learn quickly and to strive for product validation within a fast-paced environment, adapt to rapidly changing environment
Strong track record of NPI experience in launching new programs
Knowledge of automotive subsystems (hardware/software) experience is preferrable
Need deep technical experience implementing new product introductions and change management with best practices, innovations and ensure validation in this NPI space
Advanced knowledge of the full life cycle of product development is preferred
Review Manufacturing feasibility for launch determined upstream with cross functional teams (Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain) to ensure product flawless launch
Practical Problem-Solving skills are a plus including folding in lessons learned
Knowledge of systems a plus (SAP, MES, 3DX, etc.)
Exceptional timely communication, interpersonal and collaborative skills is a must have to facilitate SET reviews for proper business case for change management and new product introductions
Contribute ideas and best practices to successfully build events

You Bring:



Minimum 2+ years of NPI Program Management experience in an Engineering or Operations Environment required.
Engineering or STEM Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience required
Manufacturing Experience is required (Automotive OEM/Tier1)
Minimum 2+ years 3DX CAD drawing to interpret design needs for Manufacturability
Minimum 2+ years of Experience in manufacturing, engineering, or product development
Minimum 2+ years of Experience with Engineering Change Request, Planning and Material
Minimum 2+ years of Experience with Jira System, SAP
Minimum 2+ years of Experience in understanding of BOMs structures and change processes
Minimum 2+ experience in developing and maintaining MBOM at all stages of Build events and PDP milestones
High level of understanding of CAD structures
Excellent communication skills (writing and oral)
Flexibility in the work schedule is required (to include evenings and weekends, as needed)
