About the position

Foley & Lardner LLP is seeking a dynamic associate with 3-5 years of renewable energy transactional experience to join their Finance Practice Group and Energy Sector. This role involves working on renewable energy project finance and tax credit transactions, with a focus on drafting and negotiating complex transaction documents and managing due diligence matters. The ideal candidate will contribute to the growth of the energy practice and assist in achieving the long-term strategic objectives of the Energy Sector.

Responsibilities
• Draft and negotiate complex transaction documents, including credit agreements and tax equity documents.

• Review project documents and manage subject-matter specialist review.
,
• Close transactions related to renewable energy project finance and tax credit transactions.

• Assist in advancing the long-term strategic objectives of the Energy Sector.

Requirements
• 3-5 years of renewable energy transactional experience.

• Experience in renewable energy project finance and/or tax credit transactions.
,
• Broad substantive exposure to renewable energy due diligence matters.
,
• Excellent academic credentials and strong writing, analytical, and communication skills.
,
• JD from an ABA-approved law school and active member of the bar in the jurisdiction of hire.
