Candidates should have a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering, 6+ years of experience, and strong technical skills. Frequent travel to client locations is required.
## About This Role

Step into a leadership position where your technical expertise shapes complex infrastructure projects and your mentorship helps build the next generation of engineers while driving sustainable impact across some of the world's most critical industries. As a Managing Technical Consultant, Civil Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering high-impact engineering solutions that support sustainability, climate resilience, and ESG priorities.

This position goes beyond traditional design work. You'll influence how major industrial, energy, and manufacturing projects are planned, executed, and improved, while helping grow a high-performing engineering team. Your work will span renewable energy, manufacturing, technology, and industrial sectors, where you'll drive sustainable and resilient design solutions aligned with evolving ESG standards.

## What You'll Do

You'll lead the design and oversight of site layout, grading, drainage systems, and infrastructure from concept through construction. Your responsibilities include developing and reviewing construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents, while performing engineering analysis and evaluating field data to prepare detailed technical reports. A significant part of your role involves mentoring junior staff and promoting technical excellence and professional growth across the team.

Collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, you'll deliver projects on time and within scope while supporting environmental and compliance-related engineering work across diverse projects. You'll also ensure adherence to health, safety, and quality standards throughout all project phases.

## What You Need to Bring

You'll need a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, along with 6+ years of progressive civil engineering experience. Strong experience in site design, grading, drainage, and permitting is essential, as is proficiency in Auto. CAD/Civil 3D and related modeling tools such as Hydraflow.

You should be able to manage multiple priorities and contribute both independently and within teams. Strong analytical skills are critical, with demonstrated experience preparing engineering calculations and technical reports. Excellent communication skills are necessary—you need the ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.

Knowledge of local codes, permitting, and regulatory requirements is required. A valid driver's license is mandatory for this position due to the nature of job duties, which include frequent travel to various client locations across a large geographical area.

## Preferred Qualifications

While not required, PE or FE certification would strengthen your candidacy. A Master's degree or advanced education is preferred, as is experience leading or mentoring junior engineering staff. Background in land development design including utilities, stormwater, and erosion control is valuable. Exposure to renewable energy projects (solar, wind), data centers, oil & gas, or industrial facilities is a plus. Familiarity with GIS, surveying principles, geotechnical work, or remediation projects would be advantageous.
