Position Overview
Environmental Resources Management, Inc. is hiring a Managing Consultant, Climate Change Project Manager in New Orleans, LA. In this role, you will manage climate-related projects, develop GHG inventories (Scopes 1, 2, and 3), and advise clients on sustainability strategies. You will play a key role in ERM’s corporate sustainability and climate change advisory services practice by developing decarbonization strategies, guiding policy assessments, and delivering high-quality project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Advise and manage climate-related projects, including the design and development of comprehensive GHG inventories and decarbonization strategies.
Oversee the project lifecycle from scoping and budgeting to delivery, ensuring high-quality outputs.
Mentor and manage a team of 2-5 junior consultants, coaching them on technical reviews and effective project execution.
Build and nurture strong relationships with clients, business partners, and key stakeholders while influencing strategic decision-making.
Translate complex technical data into clear, actionable recommendations for clients and senior leadership.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in policy, law, economics, engineering, or environmental sciences (physics, chemistry, material sciences, earth sciences, etc.).
5+ years of relevant work experience in consultancy, the private sector (power, natural gas, hydrogen, etc.), or environmental policy.
Strong project management, analytical, technical writing, and presentation skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to synthesize data into actionable insights.
Demonstrated leadership capabilities and a proven track record in managing teams and projects.
