Summary:As part of the Cencora Corporate Responsibility team, reporting to the Director of Environmental Sustainability, the Manager – Sustainability will play a key role in advancing Cencora's sustainability efforts. This position focuses on managing environmental data to meet regulatory compliance and customer expectations while leading carbon reduction projects and providing strategic insights across the global portfolio.



Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Collect, analyze, and report on environmental data, ensuring integrity and compliance, while collaborating with audit stakeholdersCollaborate with internal teams (Operations, Procurement, Finance) for accurate data collection and engage external stakeholders to communicate sustainability efforts and best practicesLead the management of sustainability and greenhouse gas emissions data, supporting decision-making and compliance with standardsAssist the Director in advancing the Corporate Responsibility strategy by managing environmental risks and identifying opportunitiesBuild relationships with energy consultants and coordinate contracts and performance metrics to align with sustainability goalsIdentify and implement best practices in energy, water, and waste management, integrating them into operational processesLead efforts in packaging reduction and innovation, ensuring alignment with corporate goalsCompile data for ESG rankings and respond to customer inquiries, ensuring alignment with sustainability strategiesDevelop frameworks for benchmarking practices in emissions reduction and identify opportunities for improvementSupport sustainability training programs and develop resources to enhance ESG literacy across the enterpriseAssist in data collection and narrative development for the annual reportContribute to company-wide sustainability initiatives to foster a culture of environmental stewardshipPerform other duties as assigned


Required Skills and Qualifications:

5-7 years of experience in data management or data governance, particularly in sustainability or ESG contextsProven expertise in handling complex datasets and implementing data governance best practicesStrong ability to manage key working relationships and coordinate across cross-functional teams, including Compliance and ITDemonstrated interest or knowledge in ESG/sustainability is strongly preferredAbility to facilitate complex projects across multiple functions and navigate numerous stakeholdersExcellent problem solving, organizational, and time management skillsProactive and able to anticipate needs, meet deadlines, and manage competing priorities while maintaining high-quality outputSuperior verbal and written communication skills, with strong quantitative and analytical skills for tracking, organizing, and summarizing dataReliable, collaborative team player capable of forming positive relationships across all organizational levelsProficiency in Microsoft Office applications and capability to learn new technology tools
