Job Overview

Working within the Logistics department and reporting to the Logistics / Export Compliance Manager, the Logistics Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, packaging, marking, and loading of shipments, of Nikkiso products and maintaining records of inbound and outbound shipments. They will also assist with the warehouse functions as needed.

ResponsibilitiesPreparing and maintaining shipment paperworkMaintain logs and records of shipmentsCoordinate shipments with customer and, or freight forwarder for pick up / deliveryTroubleshooting shipping issues (Loading plans, multiple truckloads, Weight limitations, driver issues, etc.)The adequate Packing and Marking of products, to prevent loss or damage, which is to be consistent with the transportation methodsChecking orders for accuracy. Staging crates/orders in preparation for pick upsTracking and updating customers the status of shipmentsCrate Markings per customer requirements (ink stenciling, spray paint, etc.)Interacts with truck drivers and carriers, Loading trucks & trailersAssisting in warehouse functionsMaking local deliveriesCycle countsOther duties as assignedQualificationsAbility to work independently and handle multiple projectsComputer-savvy with a working knowledge of logistics software (ERP). Working knowledge of online shipping services , , & .
