Job Description

The Hydrogen Energy Association is seeking a Hydrogen Policy Analyst to support its members and advocate for policy change in the hydrogen industry. The role involves managing projects, engaging with stakeholders, conducting research, and developing a network. Candidates should have a degree in an energy-related field and strong communication skills. This is a home-based position, requiring motivation and the ability to travel to London for meetings.
Exciting opportunity for Hydrogen Policy Analyst

The Hydrogen Energy Association (HEA) is the largest pan UK hydrogen focused association, dedicated to supporting stakeholders across the entire hydrogen industry. Our 110+ members represent over 200,000 employees globally, with combined revenues over £400 billion, and cover the entire value chain from raw material sourcing, to supply chain and components, financing, professional services, B2B and consumer facing solutions.

The HEA is a leader in advocating for and accelerating the transition to Net Zero, growing green jobs and enhancing energy security in the UK through the deployment of hydrogen.

Our Mission is to promote our members and the sector both at home and abroad, and to deliver policy change to help them flourish. We work across industry and government, engaging at the highest level.

We are looking for a proactive, enthusiastic and ambitious individual to join our team, working across a range of projects and clients and contributing to our growth.

The role

The role will involve:
• Managing work across our diverse membership, providing intelligent, informed and creative input, particularly via our Working Groups.
• Strategically planning and delivering activity for our members.
• Developing and maintaining a strong network both within and beyond the Association and across industry, policy making and the wider stakeholder community.
• Undertaking a range of member services including industry analysis, research, surveys etc.;
• Working with members to help shape policy change;

The role will be flexible, bringing the opportunity to take on responsibility from the start, play a leading role in projects and introduce your own ideas for growing the Association further.

Your credentials

Do you have a degree in an energy related discipline, ideally including hydrogen, and some commercial experience?

Do you have excellent written and verbal communications skills?

Do you have outstanding time management and organisation skills, enabling you to work independently in a fast-paced environment?

Do you have the determination, resourcefulness and enthusiasm to tackle the challenges we will throw at you?

Are you confident interacting with senior representatives from industry and government?

Do you like the idea of joining a small, fast-moving company?

As this post is home based, you will need to be a strongly motivated self-starter. With many of our meetings and events taking place in London, you will also need to be based within reasonable travelling distance thereof.
