Commercial HVAC Field Technician - Renewable Energy Sites (New England)

We are seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Field Technician to join our team, focusing on the installation and maintenance of commercial HVAC units on Renewable Energy Sites throughout New England. This fast-paced and rewarding role is best suited for individuals who are responsible, self-directed, highly motivated, willing to travel, and eager to grow within the renewable energy industry.
Responsibilities:
• Maintain commercial cooling systems on Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), including full-system pipefitting, diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and replacing components.
• Conduct performance checks and regular maintenance.
• Perform additional maintenance or upgrades to out-of-season equipment.
• Respond to service calls in a timely manner, including emergency call-outs.
• Complete daily work reports accurately and on time.
• Be available for after-hours and weekend callouts/shifts as needed.
• Occasionally travel outside of New England as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned based on business and client needs.
Minimum Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in commercial HVAC maintenance.
• Basic knowledge of electronic, mechanical, and electrical components, including refrigeration systems (fire alarm experience is highly desirable).
• Level 2 or Universal EPA Certificate required at time of hire.
Additional Qualifications:
• Effective verbal and email communication skills.
• Willingness and ability to comply with OSHA standards.
• Availability to travel up to 100%, particularly during peak summer months.
• Ability to drive to remote work sites as needed.
• Capability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Physically able to lift and move equipment (up to 50 pounds).
• Compliance with FCC/EPA/OSHA regulations.
• Valid driver's license in good standing issued by state of residence.
