Green Space Preservation Associate

Environment America is seeking a Green Space Preservation Associate in Atlanta, GA. The role involves campaigning against ocean drilling, protecting forests, and advocating for renewable energy. Key responsibilities include building coalitions, organizing events, engaging with media, and lobbying elected officials. This is a full-time position focused on environmental advocacy.
Key Responsibilities

Campaign Associates will work on campaigns to oppose drilling in our oceans, protect mature and old-growth forests, organize for 100% renewable energy, and protect the water we drink and the air we breathe by holding polluters accountable.
Key Skills
• BUILDING POWERFUL COALITIONS: Reach out to a broad range of organizations and affected constituency groups across the political spectrum to demonstrate support for our campaign goals.
• ORGANIZING EVENTS AND WORK WITH VOLUNTEERS: Organize webinars, community events, and public meetings. Recruit organizations and members of the public to attend and participate.
• EARNEAR TRADITIONAL MEDIA AND SOCIAL MEDIA ATTENTION: Organize media events and write opinion pieces. Build a following on social media for your campaign.
• LOBBY ELECTED OFFICIALS: Meet with decision makers - from city council members to state legislators to members of Congress - to make the case for our campaign goals.
