Job Description

Cobblestone Energy is seeking a Graduate Software Engineer in Dubai, UAE, to develop advanced electricity trading and analytics platforms. Candidates should have a degree in Computer Science or related fields and possess strong programming and problem-solving skills. The role involves collaborating with teams, coding, and utilizing AI tools for development. Responsibilities

Contribute to software projects that support critical business operations
Collaborate with engineers and commercial team members to improve internal tools
Write clean, maintainable code and assist with debugging and testing
Participate in design discussions and code reviews
Continuously build your technical and domain knowledge
Leverage modern AI coding assistants and LLM tools to accelerate development cycles, refactor legacy code, and write comprehensive tests.
Experiment with and integrate AI capabilities (e.g., APIs, vector databases) to enhance internal tools and platform scalability.
Requirements

Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
0 to 1 year of professional experience in software development (internships and academic projects included)
Strong understanding of core programming concepts, data structures, and algorithms
Exposure to web technologies, APIs, or databases through coursework, internships, or personal projects
Demonstrated ability to use AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, LLMs) to accelerate problem-solving and automate repetitive coding tasks.
Familiarity with integrating Third-Party APIs (including OpenAI/Anthropic) or deploying open-source models is a strong plus.
Curiosity, adaptability, and a strong desire to learn and grow
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
