KEO International Consultants is seeking a Graduate Engineer in Environment and Waste for their Dubai office. The role involves planning and managing waste characterization services, developing solid waste management strategies, and ensuring compliance with local legislation. Candidates should have 1-2 years of experience and a relevant degree. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential, while knowledge of GIS and AutoCAD is beneficial. Our newest opportunity is for a talented Graduate Engineer - Environment and Waste to join our award-winning team based in Dubai, UAE. This critical role will be responsible for planning, organising and undertaking waste characterisation services across the region.


Responsibilities
We envisage success in this role to include:


Planning, organising and managing the successful completion of the waste responsibilities as required by the project scope of services, under the guidance of the supervisor.
Providing input to and/or develop solid waste management strategies, designs for solid waste infrastructure, research input for feasibility studies related to waste management, etc.
Ensuring that the waste/environmental related requirements of local legislation and international best practice standards are complied with.
Assisting in generating and following up on business opportunities throughout UAE and in other KEO locations where required by the supervisor.
Assisting in the preparation or contribution to solid waste tender proposals for the Waste Department in its own right, and for cross discipline bids managed by Project Managers within other KEO Divisions.
Assisting in the preparation and arrangement of presentations and meetings with potential and current clients.
Site works may be required as part of this position.
Qualifications
To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include 1-2 years' experience partnered with a BSc/B.Eng in Environmental/Civil or related subject.


You should have basic understanding of solid waste management concepts, processes, infrastructure and technologies which is advantageous.


Knowledge of Microsoft software such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint and MS Project is essential.


Knowledge of GIS, AutoCAD and Civil 3D is beneficial. Potential candidates must have willingness to travel and have a valid driving license with good report writing and analytical skills.


Bilingual communication skills in both English and Arabic are preferred but are not essential.
