BL Companies Inc is seeking a mid-level Geologist/Environmental Scientist for their King of Prussia, PA office. The role requires 7-12 years of experience in environmental investigations, with responsibilities including overseeing remediation projects, conducting site assessments, and mentoring junior staff. A BS in Environmental Science or Geology is required, along with knowledge of Pennsylvania regulations. We are looking to hire a mid-level professional with 7-12 years of experience to work with the Environmental Site Assessment and Remediation Group. In addition to performing and overseeing field work and perpetration of technical reports, this individual will help mentor and train junior staff. Additionally, they will have the opportunity to see, and gain experience in all aspects of a full-service environmental group including all technical aspects of field work, proposal preparation, phase-level management, subcontractor oversight and preparation of various levels of regulatory and non-regulatory reporting.

Responsibilities include:
• Performance and oversight of various aspects of remediation projects in accordance with the PA Act 2 and Storage Tank programs
• Field documentation, analysis of environmental data, fate and transport analysis, receptor surveys, and technical report writing
• Phase I site assessments including conducting and overseeing
• Phase II site investigation field work and reporting
• Field supervision and sampling for remediation projects
• Supervision of drilling subcontractors and subcontractor oversight
• Management of field health and safety

Required Experience:
• BS Degree in Environmental Science, Geology or related scientific or technical field
• Pennsylvania Professional Geologist license or appropriate coursework and experience to sit for PG exam strongly preferred
• 7-12 years of experience in conducting environmental investigations
• Experience with Pennsylvania environmental regulations (including PA Act 2 and Storage Tank Programs) and Federal laws and regulations
• Strong oral and written communication skills including technical writing
• Experience in field sampling of environmental media (soil, water, air, waste)
• Ability to lift/carry field equipment up to 40 pounds
• Ability to access remote locations and sites for sampling
• Familiarity in AutoCad and/or GIS a plus (not required)
• OSHA HAZWOPER 40-hour Certification preferred (not required)
