Role Overview:
Orbit ISS is seeking experienced Freelance Welding Inspectors to support ongoing and upcoming projects under tight timelines. The ideal candidates will have strong expertise in welding inspection activities related to piping, pressure equipment, pipelines, and storage tanks, ensuring full compliance with international standards and client requirements. Preference will be given to candidates with valid AWS-CWI or CSWIP certification and active CICPA clearance for immediate mobilization.

Key Responsibilities:
Carry out welding inspections for piping, pressure equipment, pipelines, and storage tanks
Ensure compliance with project specifications, approved procedures, and applicable codes
Review Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Procedure Qualification Records (PQR), and Welder Qualification Records (WQR)
Monitor welding activities, fit-up, and joint preparation
Verify material traceability and consumables
Witness and interpret NDT activities including RT, UT, MT, and PT
Review and validate inspection and test reports
Coordinate with client representatives and site teams
Ensure compliance with QA/QC procedures and HSE requirements
Prepare and submit inspection reports in a timely manner


RequirementsDiploma in Engineering or equivalent qualification
Valid certification in welding inspection: AWS-CWI or CSWIP Welding Inspector
Minimum 5 years of experience in welding inspection activities
Experience in, Piping systems, Pressure vessels, Pipelines, Storage tanks
Have knowledge of the following codes: ASME VIII Division 1, BS 5500 & API 510, ASME IX, API 1104, BS 4870/4871, API 650 & 653, ANSI/ASME B31.3, B31.4 and 31.8, ASME Section II Part A & Part C
Active CICPA clearance
