Environmental Scientist

Job Description
Our company is seeking a full-time Environmental Scientist to join our team. We are a consulting company incorporated in 1995 comprised of dedicated individuals who help our industrial, commercial, and legal clientele resolve today’s complex environmental problems. Our team uses diverse analytical tools to extract trends and patterns from complex datasets, define environmental impacts, reconstruct historical discharges, and protect human health.

Responsibilities May Include:
• Data management, including extracting and summarizing data from a variety of complex data sources and performing data management tasks to prepare data for analysis; develop data visualizations to communicate findings
• Analysis of chemical and physical data, including statistical analyses and pattern recognition in spatial and temporal datasets
• Work in our laboratory with our experienced team
• Support litigation work

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Environmental Science or related degree
• Experience in geomicrobiology and microbial geochemistry
• At least two years of working experience preferred
• Experience using programs such as Python, SQL, R, Minitab, MATLAB, Visual MINTEQ, etc.
• Math through Calculus II
• Experience with data management and analysis
• Strong conceptual skills, as well as quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
• Experience with lab work a plus
• Field work experience a plus
• Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office (e.g., Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Capable of working with a team or independently
• Self-motivated, proactive and detail oriented

Additional Requirements:
• Currently eligible for employment status in the U.S.
• Possess valid driver’s license
• Background check

• Must live within commutable distance from Boulder, CO
• On-site presence required
