Job Description

Weston & Sampson is seeking an Environmental Scientist/Geologist with 0-3 years of experience for their Foxborough, MA office. The role involves environmental sampling, oversight of remediation projects, and report preparation. Candidates should have an associate or bachelor's degree in a related field, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a flexible environment. The position allows for remote work and requires travel for fieldwork.
Weston & Sampson is currently seeking an Environmental Scientist/Geologist with 0-3 years of experience in either of our Reading or Foxborough Massachusetts offices. This candidate must have a strong work ethic and who would like to be part of a growing team. Optimal candidate will reside in the greater Boston area area and have the ability to work remotely.

What You’ll Do
• Experience and be familiar with, or excited to learn about, performing Environmental sampling, oversight of environmental remediation and construction projects, inspections of constructed sites, report preparation associated with environmental activities, assuring compliance with contract specifications and plans.
• Collecting field samples for screening and/or laboratory analysis (air, soil, groundwater, and water)
• Required to work long hours at environmental sites documenting and inspecting work.
• Ability to handle flexible workload, diverse project files, and work well with multiple staff members.

What You’ll Bring
• Associate degree in engineering or environmental science or Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, geology or related field.
• 0 to 3 years of experience
• Familiarity with ArcGIS and AutoCAD considered a plus but is not mandatory.
• Experience working in field setting (construction oversight, soils logging, drilling oversight) a plus but not required.
• A positive attitude and able to communicate effectively with others
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Travel will be required to conduct field work (valid driver’s license is required)
• Able to handle flexible workload.
• Work well with multiple staff members
