Job Description

EnviroScience is hiring a full-time, entry-level Environmental Scientist in Stow, OH. The role involves supporting environmental consulting projects through multi-media sampling, conducting audits and inspections, and performing fieldwork in various conditions. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in environmental science and 3-5 years of field experience. Flexibility for travel is essential. About the position

EnviroScience, Inc., headquartered in Stow, Ohio, is seeking a full-time, entry-level Environmental Scientist to join our growing Compliance Services Practice Area. This position is ideal for individuals who are self-motivated, capable of managing multiple tasks, and possess strong scientific writing skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting various environmental consulting projects, which may include multi-media sampling of surface water, groundwater, sediment, soil, stormwater, and waste. The role requires conducting audits, inspections, and site visits, as well as performing fieldwork year-round, often in adverse weather conditions and rough terrain. In this position, you will be expected to organize and review data, prepare reports, and develop technical proposals. A key aspect of the role is the ability to represent the client's best interests and provide support throughout the duration of each project. Flexibility for overnight and extended travel is essential, as the job may require you to work in various locations. Responsibilities
• Multi media sampling including surface water, groundwater, sediment, soil sampling, stormwater and waste
,
• Performing audits, inspections and site visits
,
• Conducting field work year-round in adverse weather and rough terrain

• Organizing and reviewing data and preparing reports and technical proposals
,
• Ability to represent the client's best interests and support the client as needed during the duration of the project
,
• Flexibility for overnight and extended travel

• Other duties as assigned or required

Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in environmental science or a related field
,
• 3-5 years field sampling experience
,
• Willingness and ability to learn new systems and skills
,
• Experience with Global Position Systems (GPS)
,
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
,
• 40 Hour HAZWOPER preferred but not required
,
• Able to operate a boat preferred but not required

Nice-to-haves
• 40 Hour HAZWOPER certification
,
• Experience operating a boat
