Environmental Project Person

Middlesex Health is seeking an Environmental Project Person to maintain hospital cleanliness, perform various cleaning tasks, and manage floor and carpet care. The role requires a high school diploma, basic English skills, and knowledge of cleaning chemicals and techniques. Preferred candidates have six months of experience in Environmental Services. This position is per diem and located in Middletown, CT, with a focus on patient care and employee satisfaction.

Position Summary:


The Environmental Services Project Person performs a variety of projects and maintains the Hospital in a clean, sanitary and orderly condition. Strips and refinishes tile floors, shampoos, extracts and buffs carpets, washes walls and may perform any or all duties of Environmental Technicians.


Minimum Requirements:


High School diploma or equivalent required within two years of hire Understand basic verbal and written English language instructions and be able to read, understand and apply directions for proper mixing and use of chemicals Must understand and be able to apply concepts of periodic and restorative maintenance techniques for floor, carpet and wall care Must demonstrate skills and knowledge for proper use of chemicals and requirement required by the position Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the position Preferred Qualifications:
