Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Environmental professional to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting environmental site assessments, developing remediation plans, and ensuring regulatory compliance for a variety of projects. Daily activities include office, remote, and field work, with some travel (up to 10%). This is an excellent opportunity for a professional looking to advance their career in environmental consulting.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct environmental site assessments (Phase I & II ESAs) and remediation activities.
• Perform soil, groundwater, and air sampling and interpret analytical data.
• Develop and implement Remedial Action and Corrective Action Plans in accordance with IEPA Site Remediation Program regulations, TACO regulations, and LUST Regulations, as well as other regulatory frameworks.
• Prepare technical reports, including investigation summaries and regulatory submissions.
• Assist clients in obtaining environmental permits and maintaining compliance.
• Collaborate with Professional Engineers, project managers, and field staff to ensure project success.
• Stay current with environmental regulations and industry best practices.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Environmental or Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, Geology or related science degree.
• Recent graduate or up to 2 years of experience in environmental consulting, site assessments, or remediation.
• Familiarity with IEPA TACO regulations and other environmental standards is a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical writing skills.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, or environmental modeling software is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.
