Role Location

Due to exciting project wins, we are seeking enthusiastic and qualified applicants for a Senior, Principal or Associate Director role within our EIA Team at our Bristol, London, Warrington or Brighton offices, with the flexibility of hybrid working arrangements. While our preference is for full-time candidates, we are open to discussing part-time working options for the right applicant.

With a proven track record of success, Logika Group has been involved with UK Government expert groups and European Commission working groups, provided expert evidence at Public Inquiries, and helped clients gain planning consent for thousands of projects.

The Role

We currently require an experienced EIA Consultant, which commensurate with experience may be at Senior, Principal or Associate Director grade.

Our new team member will assist in coordinating environmental inputs for major EIA projects that will support proposals for large-scale infrastructure and major development projects including within the transport, renewable energy and property sectors.

There will also be the opportunity to work on projects requiring Strategic Environmental Assessment.

You will work with a range of internal technical environmental specialists and designers to manage environmental inputs to project designs and assessments. This will include early strategy development, through to feasibility, outline design, detailed design and discharging of conditions. You will have the opportunity to work within various consenting regimes, including Development Consent Orders and Town and Country Planning. You will also be expected to liaise with clients and sub-consultants, help to prepare fee proposals, and author environmental reports and EIA documentation.

It is the philosophy of Logika that the role of an environmental consultant should be to ensure that environmental issues are at the heart of development design. Therefore, it is of importance that you are confident when engaging with a wide variety of stakeholder groups and should be able to work effectively with technical environmental specialists and design teams to embed environmental design solutions into development proposals.

Core Skills and Experience

Whilst we are seeking the following core skills and experience, we still encourage applications where they may have comparable experience within environmental management and assessment, planning or permitting to apply:

· A relevant environmental degree level qualification in EIA, or similar

· An excellent knowledge and understanding of EIA processes and relevant UK legislation

· A good understanding of a range of technical environmental disciplines and development projects

· Experience of leading the production of environmental reports and EIA documentation (including screening and scoping reports, preliminary environmental information reports and Environmental Statements)

· Excellent verbal and report writing skills, including EIA review of technical reporting

· The ability to work collaboratively as part of an established team, coordinating inputs from specialist technical teams whilst working to a deadline

· An organised, methodical approach with competency in using project management tools and methods to coordinate project deliverables

· Experience of engaging with a wide variety of stakeholder groups

· Experience of financial control and project management

· Line management or close oversight of junior members of a team

· Experience of bid preparation and business development activities
