Job Summary

ECTC is seeking an Environmental Health/Safety Specialist III to work directly with the VP of Facilities to support the daily campus operations related to safety, assets, and emergency management.

Job Duties:
• Manages campus asset inventory, including tagging new equipment, maintaining the inventory management system, and coordinating asset relocation and annual reporting.
• Oversees campus mail services, including receiving, inspecting, processing, and delivering mail and packages; manages postage meter, shipping labels, records, and bulk mail processing with USPS.
• Coordinates surplus inventory and disposal processes, including posting items for auction through GovDeals.
• Supports daily campus operations by unlocking facilities, managing key retrieval, monitoring building access schedules, maintaining two-way radios, issuing parking passes, restocking paper supplies, and assisting with shredding services.
• Maintains campus safety infrastructure including monitoring security cameras, managing door access databases, maintaining flag displays, and preparing grounds for major campus events or emergencies.
• Conducts environmental health and safety inspections and assessments; maintains OSHA compliance records, coordinates hazardous waste disposal, monitors chemical inventories, and recommends corrective safety measures.
• Assists in the development and implementation of campus emergency preparedness and response plans, including maintaining emergency operations documentation and coordinating drills (fire, tornado, earthquake, intruder, etc.).
• Tracks and reports campus incidents and safety data, including Clery, OSHA, and other required reports; maintains incident reporting systems and coordinates with local law enforcement and system office contacts.
• Performs routine safety inspections of fire suppression systems, alarms, AEDs, and related equipment, maintaining required documentation.
• Participates in safety training and systemwide crisis management meetings and remains available for emergency response coordination when needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience.
