Job Description
We Inspect is seeking an Environmental Field Inspector to conduct property assessments and environmental sampling. This role involves extensive travel (up to 90%) across the US, requiring strong communication and organizational skills. The inspector will work with a team, collect data via mobile apps, and ensure client satisfaction. A background in environmental studies or related fields is preferred, along with experience in similar industries.
Let’s talk about the role:
As an Environmental Field Inspector, you will work with a team of experts to provide a comprehensive assessment of our client's properties by collecting property data on via our mobile app and uploading to cloud-based software. During the inspection, you will perform environmental sampling to verify or dismiss the presence of indoor environmental pathogens such as mold, VOCs, mycotoxins, etc.
This is not a remediation role. This is a diagnostic, investigative, and documentation-driven position requiring technical rigor, precision, and professionalism.

Work Structure & Travel:
This is a remote position with extensive travelTravel will be required up to 90% of the time, or up to 4 days per weekMix of regional inspections and nationwide assignmentsInspectors generally complete 13–15 onsite inspections per monthTravel is centrally coordinated by We Inspect to maximize efficiency
You Will…
Travel to the homeowner or rental properties throughout the country to conduct inspections that meet the needs of the client Collect property data on mobile devices and upload to cloud-based software using a defined process Collect environmental samples from properties, package and send to laboratories for further analysis, as needed Collaborate closely with a team of experts, including a Lead Consultant who provides guidance pre-inspection and a Lead Inspector who supports you throughout the inspection processEngage in continuous learning to be a leading industry expert and provide knowledgeable solutions for our clients
You Have…
Strong growth mindset with a commitment to continuous learning and improvement Reliable transportation for onsite visits to client's homesAbility to travel without restriction within the US A valid license to drive rental vehicles Ability to travel 3-4 days a week with overnight stays required Bachelor's in Environmental Studies, Earth Sciences or a related field, a plus2+ years experience in mold remediation, water restoration, lead/asbestos abatement, HVAC contracting or construction or comparable industry/role, a plus

Physical Demands
Ability to lift, push and/or pull up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 75 lbs occasionally Ability to stoop, crawl and maneuver in small spaces such as under a house or in an atticMust wear required PPE during onsite inspectionsMust be comfortable climbing ladders8+ hours of work being on your feet during inspection days
Compensation And Benefits
Hourly, exempt positionOTE $55-60k annually Meal per diem for travelMedical, Dental, Vision and 401k
