Michels’ operations and field crews depend on support from our in-house Environmental Department with environmental/regulatory experts to advance our operations and critical infrastructure projects.\nAs an Environmental Coordinator, your key responsibility will be to coordinate and document field environmental compliance on a power transmission line construction project located in New Hampshire and Vermont. This position will coordinate proactive environmental field compliance with the construction team. Responsibilities

Prefer Bachelor or Associate degree with emphasis in environmental studies, natural sciences, engineering, or related field. Advanced training or education in Environmental or Technical Field, with equivalent years may be acceptable.2-5+ years of environmental compliance or related construction experience.Knowledgeable with environmental construction compliance topics and applicable regulations, including but not limited to storm water best management, process water control, waste storage and disposal, general air compliance, and fuel storage.Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. With strong organization, time management, and attention to detail.Ability to communicate effectively with different audience types both in-person and using technology (e.g. PowerPoint, TEAMS).Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite required, with preference for Advanced Excel expertise.Ability to live near the project location in New Hampshire or Vermont.This is a full-time role for 24-month+ construction project duration, with opportunity to support regional Northeast projects following project completion.Required to adhere to extended periods of time standing, walking, bending, squatting, and lifting (up to 25 lbs.).A valid driver’s license for the type(s) of vehicles you may be driving and an acceptable driving record.Nice-to-haves

Previous experience advising utility construction teams on environmental compliance issues, negotiating company best interests with customers.Ability to negotiate compliance issues and act as liaison of company project management for regulatory visits or issues.Benefits
