Job Description

ERM is seeking an Environmental Consultant, Engineer, Geologist, or Scientist in Denver, CO, focusing on remediation projects in northeast Colorado. The role involves technical support for site investigations, EHS compliance, and air quality management, including fieldwork and data analysis. ERM is looking for a driven Environmental Consultant, Engineer, Geologist, or Scientist to enhance our dynamic team. This role primarily focuses on remediation projects in northeast Colorado for the first year, providing an excellent opportunity to delve into meaningful work that impacts the environment.

As part of this role, you will explore a variety of projects over time, encompassing the full breadth of ERM's offerings such as contaminated site management, environmental health and safety (EHS) compliance, air quality, and due diligence transactions. RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Deliver technical support on site investigations, remediation, EHS compliance, air quality management, and due diligence transaction projects.
• Engage in field work, including:
• Oversight of subcontractors;
• Utility clearance;
• Soil and bedrock drilling, characterization, and sampling;
• Installation of monitoring wells (groundwater and soil vapor) and test pit excavation;
• Sampling of soil, sediment, soil vapor, sanitary systems, surface water, and groundwater;
• Utilizing surface and borehole geophysical techniques;
• Aquifer testing, including slug tests, packer testing, step-drawdown, and tracer tests;
• Monitoring performance of remedial systems.
• Assist in the planning of project activities and ensure health and safety oversight.
• Prepare plans, permits, and comprehensive reports for various programs including site characterization, hazardous waste, air quality, stormwater, and wastewater.
• Accurately record data and prepare visual representations of results; create detailed reports, tables, graphs, charts, and hydrogeologic maps.
• Conduct Phase I and II environmental site assessments to facilitate property transfers.
• Support clients with environmental compliance assistance, providing on-site guidance as necessary.
• Perform topical research, conduct compliance assessments, and implement corrective actions to adhere to regulations at all levels.
• Manage multiple projects within budget/schedule parameters while ensuring high standards in project deliverables.
• Communicate effectively with subcontractors, regulatory agents, tenants, and clients during field activities.
• Assist ERM Partners-in-Charge and Project Managers by effectively managing project tasks.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor's degree in chemical, civil, environmental, or mechanical engineering; geology; environmental science; or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years relevant environmental field experience.
• Comfortable performing field assignments with an ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and analytical abilities with experience in documenting detailed technical data and reports.
• Proficiency in spreadsheets and databases.
• Attention to detail with a mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, be flexible, travel, and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Capability to thrive in a consulting environment by handling various project assignments while adhering to deadlines.
• Commitment to safety and adherence to established Health and Safety protocols.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED:
• Prior remediation equipment operations and maintenance experience.
• 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification and GIT/PG designation.

For the Environmental Consultant, Engineer, Geologist, or Scientist position, the anticipated annual base pay is $77,085 - $84,811 USD. Compensation within this range depends on several factors including education, qualifications, certifications, relevant experience, skills, geographic location, and organizational needs. This position may also offer an annual discretionary performance bonus.

Note: Compensation is not considered earned until it is vested and determinable. Bonuses and other compensation remain at the company's discretion unless paid, adhering to legal requirements.
