Environmental - Lawyer or part practice

Advocate Placement is seeking a senior Environmental Lawyer for a permanent position in Toronto, ON. The role involves leading the national environmental practice group, advising on various environmental issues, and representing clients at hearings. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience, a strong reputation in environmental law, and a good book of business. The position is full-time and requires collaboration with business law and real estate groups.
Position: Environmental - Lawyer with full or part practice

POSITION:
Our client, a large full service National law firm, is looking to bring in a senior environmental partner to head up its national environmental practice group with a view to expanding its established environmental law practice. The candidate has extensive experience in the field with another National full service firm, has an excellent reputation and is known within the environmental practice group as a leader in this practice area.

The group advises on a wide range of environmental issues and represents clients at environmental hearings and prosecutions. As well the Group works closely with the firm’s business law and real estate groups in negotiating agreements with environmental authorities as well as assisting in M&A and real estate transactions and financings. The ideal candidate would also have a good book of business and some leadership role in this practice area in a present role.
