Electrician - Solar

Lightwave Solar Electric is seeking a journeyman Electrician for solar installations in Nashville, TN. The role requires 5-10 years of electrical experience, knowledge of NEC Code, and skills in troubleshooting and communication. Benefits include paid time off, health insurance, and 401(k) matching. We offer competitive pay and benefits and are currently looking for a journeyman level (or equivalent) Electrician who is motivated to learn and participate in the solar electric industry. This position does not require solar-specific experience and instead could be an excellent entry level opportunity into the industry for journeymen with the right experience. We have immediate opportunities throughout Middle Tennessee.

Responsibilities
• Minimum Requirements:
• Minimum electrical experience of 5 to 10 years. (Not Residential).
• Thorough knowledge of the NEC Code and the ability to use and reference the Code as required.
• Thorough knowledge of reading and applying blueprints and specifications
• Troubleshooting aptitude
• Working with 480 v, 3 phase
• CAT 5 and communication experience
• PLC or similar programming.
• Professional demeanor focusing on solutions to problems.
• Able to build and maintain good rapport with co-workers.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Tolerance wearing PPE for extended periods of time.
• Safely climb and work from significant heights and exposed areas.
• Work in various weather conditions, which can include extreme heat, cold or wet weather.

Preferred:
• Experience with 4,160 up to 24 kv is a plus
• Transformer experience
• Non-solar inverter experience.
