SUMMARY


Electrical engineer prepares and/or reviews engineering technical designs and design templates for Partner Engineering and Science’s Renewable Energy Team. This role requires an applied understanding of NEC Code, solar, battery storage and other power generation and utility interconnection electrical engineering. The role is for a licensed electrical engineer or Engineer in Training willing to obtain license within 6months of hire who will be part of a team reviewing and developing designs by applying engineering principles and current industry data.


RESPONSIBILITIES



Prepare Electrical Engineering technical designs and design templates for renewable energy installations
Provide due diligence efforts and interpretations of designs by others
Prepare the basis of design analysis and review
Interface with other technical disciplines
Prepare engineering design and construction documents
Improve the Electrical Engineering design processes through collaboration
Travel for site inspection, evaluation, and viability analyses
Attend and participate in project-related meetings

QUALIFICATIONS



Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from an accredited engineering program
Professional Engineer License
3+ years’ experience working with, interpreting, designing, and/or preparing Electrical Engineering documents including:

NEC Code
Solar systems
Battery Storage systems
EV Charging systems
Utility interconnection for Distributed Generation (Behind and Front of the Meter), utility scale a plus

Effective problem-solving and evaluation skills
Strong verbal and written communication abilities
Proficient software user including:

AutoCAD
ETAP
MS Excel, MS Word, MS Project
Modeling Software: PVSYST - Helioscope
Other engineering design software


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS



Must be able to read, write, speak & comprehend English
Must be able to communicate clearly in person and over the telephone
Visual acuity adequate to perform job duties, including reading information from printed sources and computer screen
Requires frequent bending, reaching, standing, walking, sitting, pushing and pulling exerted regularly throughout the work shift
Requires the ability to climb a ladder

COMPENSATION


Salary range: $90,000 to $150,000. This is what we reasonably expect to pay for the role


The pay scale for this role considers a wide range of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Please note, the disclosed pay scale estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic location where the position may be filled.


You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary incentive bonus program which is dependent on various factors, including, but not limited to individual and organizational performance.
