Ecological Restoration Team Member

The Student Conservation Association is hiring an Ecological Restoration Team Member in Morris, MN. Responsibilities include mapping invasive plants, identifying species, and operating various equipment. Candidates must have a valid driver's license, be comfortable with herbicides, and work outdoors in remote locations. The position requires the ability to carry 40 pounds and navigate large areas. This is a full-time position.
Responsibilities
• Mapping current extent of invasive plants on or near FWS lands
• Identifying non-native/invasive species
• Operating ATVs/UTVs
• Operating brush saws
• Using backpack sprayer or other herbicide application tools
Requirements
• Valid driver's license
• Comfortable using herbicides (all necessary protective gear will be provided)
• Capable of working outdoors, in remote locations
• Capable of carrying 40 pounds
• Ability to navigate to sites across a large geographic area
