EVS Staff (FT) - Environmental Services

St. Croix Casino is hiring full-time Environmental Services (EVS) Staff in Turtle Lake, WI, at a pay rate of $15.00/hr, with a shift differential for night shifts. Responsibilities include maintaining a clean and safe environment for guests and staff, reporting to the EVS Shift Supervisor, and complying with safety policies. Qualifications include a high school diploma preferred, and no prior experience is necessary. Benefits include health insurance and paid time off.
RATE OF PAY: $15.00/HR.

SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL $1.00/HR. FOR 11 PM - 7 AM

JOB SUMMARY: Provide friendly, excellent service to every guest and department. Maintain safe, clean, neat and attractive environment for our guests and employees. Directly report to and receive instruction from the EVS Shift Supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS: Native American preference. High School Diploma,
GED or HSED preferred. No previous experience in maintenance, housekeeping services and/or janitorial work required. Must be proficient in oral communications within department standards and be able to work independently. Must be able to work any day of the week and any shift.

PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS: Must be ambulatory, able to bend, twist, walk, stoop, and be on feet for an eight (8) hour shift. Must be able to do heavy lifting, be able to bend, stoop, stretch and climb. Must be able to listen and respond to visual and oral cues. Must be proficient in oral communications within department standards. Must have the ability to work independently or in a group effort. Must be able to handle multiple projects, have the ability to prioritize projects and systematically complete projects. Must be able to moved quickly to problem areas. Must be able to tolerate a sometimes noisy, smoke-filled environment. Must be able to climb a 6’ ladder.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Uphold the quality standards for the department. Ensure all areas are clean and safe. Pick up paper and debris, cocktail glasses, beverage bottles, and other containers. Empty ash trays, wipe up spills, reposition chairs to machines, and place Casino coin cups by machines as needed. Polish machines. Be friendly and helpful to all guests and fellow employees. Assess any problems and notify the Shift Supervisor. Will comply with and enforce all safety policies and rules; and will attend all required safety training.

Must be able to meet the attendance guidelines of the position, adhere to and enforce all departmental and company policies, and attend all mandatory trainings. Must comply with and enforce all safety policies and rules.
