About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Director to spearhead a new initiative focused on addressing the intertwined challenges of housing affordability and climate resilience. The primary responsibilities include:
Establishing a clear vision and strategy that will create a significant impact on homeownership affordability and climate resilience.Building the foundational structure of the organization and setting achievable short-term and long-term goals.Developing an effective Board of Directors and nurturing essential relationships with various stakeholders.Creating a research agenda to explore and advance innovative solutions.Advocating for policy changes that align with our mission. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, strategic vision, and a deep commitment to effecting change in housing and climate sectors. A background in business, public policy, or nonprofit management is preferred, along with a proven ability to translate vision into actionable goals. A solid understanding of the socio-economic and environmental aspects of the housing affordability crisis is essential.
Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills are required, along with a proactive problem-solving approach. Staying informed about emerging trends and research in the field is vital to ensure our initiatives are effective and targeted.
