Position Summary
The Corrugator Operator – Wet End is responsible for operating and monitoring the wet end of the corrugator machine, including paper feeding, flute formation, adhesive application, and liner bonding. This role ensures consistent board quality, proper machine setup, and efficient production flow.
Key Responsibilities
Set up and operate wet-end components of the corrugator, including singlefacers, preheaters, and adhesive systemsMonitor paper rolls, tension, alignment, and splicing for continuous operationPrepare and adjust starch/adhesive mixtures to meet product specificationsControl temperatures, pressures, and speeds to ensure proper flute formation and bondingInspect board quality (moisture, flute integrity, warp, adhesion) and make real-time adjustmentsCoordinate with dry-end operators and supervisors to maintain production efficiencyTroubleshoot equipment issues and perform minor maintenance or adjustmentsFollow safety procedures and maintain a clean work areaComplete production documentation and quality records accuratelyRequirements/Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent (technical training preferred)Previous manufacturing experience; corrugator or packaging industry experience strongly preferredKnowledge of paper grades, adhesives, and corrugating processesAbility to operate industrial machinery and interpret production specificationsStrong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environmentWillingness to work shifts, overtime, and weekends as neededBasic math and computer skills for production trackingPhysical ability to lift, stand for long periods, and work in a manufacturing environment
