Executrade Consultants Ltd. is seeking a Business Development Manager for Earthworks in Sherwood Park, AB. This hybrid full-time role involves driving business growth in the construction sector, focusing on mining, oil & gas, and infrastructure. The successful candidate will contribute to expanding our client’s business development initiatives and diversifying their portfolio across Alberta, British Columbia and Saskatchewan.

Key Responsibilities

As the Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving business growth by identifying new opportunities, strengthening client relationships, and expanding market presence. Your responsibilities will include:

Strategic Business Development & Sales Growth
• Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy aligned with the company’s expansion goals.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the mining, oil & gas, and infrastructure sectors.
• Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to increase market awareness.
• Manage and oversee the full sales cycle, including prospecting, lead qualification, proposal development, and contract negotiation.

Client & Stakeholder Engagement
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key industry decision-makers, project managers, and procurement teams.
• Foster long-term partnerships with First Nations groups and other community stakeholders to support inclusive and sustainable business growth.
• Conduct research and feasibility studies to identify client needs and offer tailored solutions.

Market Analysis & Competitive Strategy
• Assess market trends, emerging challenges, and competitive dynamics to ensure the company remains at the forefront of the industry.
• Collaborate with internal teams to develop service offerings that align with client needs and industry demands.
• Prepare and present detailed business plans, feasibility studies, and financial forecasts to executive leadership.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, candidates should demonstrate the following:

Education & Experience:
• Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role within civil construction, oil & gas, mining, or infrastructure.
• Proven track record of managing revenue budgets exceeding $175 million.
• Experience in marketing, proposal creation, and strategic planning.

Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in CRM tools, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint), and Adobe software (InDesign, Illustrator).
• Experience using Microsoft Dynamics is an asset.
