Description

Based in Oxford, you will be a member in our dynamic and multi-national global commercial team in a fast paced and stimulating environment. You will play a key role in all aspects of business development of our energy analytics subscription and software-as-a-service business. You will while closely working with Aurora’s global Commercial team across UK, Europe, North America, Australia, larger APAC and other markets.

You will play a key role in all aspects of client interactions and business development. The role will focus on being the client face of Aurora, creating and maintaining commercial opportunities for our full range of products, with customers within your designated power market. A successful candidate will have a strong commercial mindset, interest in energy markets, exceptional organizational skills and communications skills, eagerness to learn, and the ability to nurture client relationships.

Successful candidates will combine a strong business development mindset, superior communication and relationship management skills, with an interest in energy and power markets. We are looking for experience in working with sales team and related processes, coupled with a strong track record of performance in team-oriented environments leading to commercial success.

Key Responsibilities

Represent Aurora across the industry, with a comprehensive understanding of our offeringsQualify, develop, and maintain sales opportunities through the company and product knowledge, researching consumer needs and identifying how our solutions can meet themGenerate leads and grow existing relationships to develop an active, repeat customer basePitch our offerings to senior personnel and make proposals to existing and potential customersNegotiate and contract structured offersUse Salesforce CRM to ensure standard processes during all sales stagesContribute to new product development and improve our existing offerings

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Required attributes:Strong commercial mindset, including creativity and intuition for opportunities that create impact and commercial successAbility to remain calm under pressure and cope with uncertaintyExcellent organisation skills and a high degree of persistence and diligenceA can-do attitude and willingness to help wherever needed e.g. improving internal systems and processesMotivated by achieving tangible commercial targets individually and as a teamOutstanding written and verbal communication as well as interpersonal skillsEvidence of strong performance in team-oriented environmentsEnthusiasm and curiosity about the energy transition2+ years Client relationship experience, including sales, business development or account management

Desirable attributes:Sales, business development and client relationship experience in the energy sector is highly desiredExperience in renewable/flexible energy projectsExperience with SalesforcePrevious professional exposure to energy economics, power markets and power networks would be an advantage
