Job Description

DNEG is seeking an Assistant Manager for Corporate Environmental Health Social and Safety in India. The role involves overseeing EHS operations, ensuring a safe work environment, conducting inspections, implementing EHS requirements, and coordinating safety training. Candidates should have a science degree, a diploma in Industrial Safety, and 4-7 years of experience. Knowledge of environmental regulations and safety standards is preferred.

Role

Ensure day to day operations of EHS function and contribute to the application of effective Environmental, Health & Safety management by providing technical support. Responsible for reporting on the performance of the EHS Management system for the organization.

Responsibilities
• Ensure/provide a safe and healthy environment to our people and to our contractors. Minimize impacts on the Environment, reduce Risk level. Protect DNEG assets and reduce risks of business interruption resulting from fire and natural catastrophes, & other hazardous condition.
• Perform regular site EHS inspection, weekly Site EHS inspection, Monthly Site EHS Inspection.
• Implement customer EHS Requirement (Audits, Inspection, Trainings)
• Cooperate with the internal resources to achieve EHS objectives (like Mock drill’s, Training, Reduction in Incident)
• Perform EHS Risk Assessment and to define appropriate measures to control risks.
• Prepare, implement and maintain emergency plans.
• Coordinate and control activities with respect of EHS, especially where interfaces are involved with other contractors or operation areas.
• Carry out inspections of work areas and carry out EHS audits and report any discrepancy to the site team.
• Inform, instruct and train employees to carry out the work in safe & environment-friendly mode according to the method of statement.
• Participate in the implementation of the site EHS training programs by providing EHS inductions and ensuring tool box meeting are organized

Desirables:
• Knowledge of NBC, BOCW & NFPA.
• Should have exposure of construction safety also.
• Exposure of OHSAS 18001 & ISO 14001 and any other standards
• would be an advantage.
• Knowledge of environment regulation would be an added

Education & Experience
• Science graduate with Diploma/PG Diploma in Industrial Safety with 4-7 years of experience.
• Qualification in Environment management will be an added advantage.
• International qualifications, CSP(Certified Safety Professional), NEBOSH, MIOSH, MSISO etc. Will be an advantage.
