Job DescriptionUnder the supervision of the Assistant Community Development Director/City Planner, the Assistant City Planner performs complex technical planning duties. Responsibilities include managing planning studies, overseeing development applications, coordinating inter-agency reviews, preparing comprehensive plans, supervising staff, drafting ordinances, ensuring compliance with city codes, conducting site inspections, leading budget development, facilitating public meetings, and advancing equity and inclusion goals. The position also oversees the Planning Division’s Administrative Assistant and participates in city-wide project management efforts.
