Zero Waste Coordinator

Live Nation Worldwide, Inc. is seeking a Zero Waste Coordinator in Charlotte, NC. This part-time, seasonal role involves sorting recycling and compost materials post-show, educating band members and fans about sustainability, and developing engagement programs. The position requires physical activity and strong communication skills, with a focus on achieving zero waste initiatives during events. Experience in zero-waste events is preferred.
The Zero Waste Captain Role

At Live Nation Worldwide, Inc., we are committed to taking our sustainability programs to the next level. As a key member of our team, the Zero Waste Captain will play a crucial role in helping us achieve zero waste through sorting and educating others.

Main Responsibilities:
• Assist in the post-show sorting process of all recycling, composting, and landfill materials
• Partner with band members to educate them on their role in achieving the venue's sustainability goals
• Develop and implement employee engagement programs to promote sustainability initiatives
• Engage fans and encourage participation in sustainability programs through activities and education
• Participate in comprehensive training to enhance zero waste expertise

Requirements and Qualifications:
• This position requires about 90% of the time spent walking, bending, reaching, stooping, lifting, and carrying 50 lbs.+ with approximately 65% of that time spent sorting materials
• A dedication to participating in projects that have a real and immediate impact on the cause is essential
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with other departments
• Previous experience in events, particularly zero-waste events, is highly desirable
• A positive attitude, creativity, and problem-solving skills are required to execute programs successfully

About the Position:

This is a seasonal, part-time role for show days, with varying hours per week based on the show schedule and business needs.
