BIOLOGIST DCL-B (Crustacean Biologist): Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries

The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries is hiring a Crustacean Biologist to manage marine/estuarine crustacean fisheries. This role involves advising on crustacean and habitat management in collaboration with various governmental and non-governmental organizations. Candidates need a relevant degree and significant experience in biological sciences or related fields. The position offers a salary range of $5,462.00 to $9,833.00 monthly and is full-time based in Louisiana.
Responsibilities: This position serves as the Department’s expert and advisor regarding marine/estuarine crustacean fishery management. This position serves as the high-level advisor for the state in areas of crustacean and habitat management in conjunction with other state, federal, and local governments, and non-governmental organizations (NGOs).

Qualification: A bachelor’s degree in a biological science, marine science, environmental science, wildlife or fisheries, animal science, forestry, or natural resources plus six years of experience in wildlife or fisheries, forestry, or environmental science; OR

A non-thesis master's degree in a biological science, marine science, environmental science, wildlife or fisheries, animal science, forestry, or natural resources plus five years of the required specialized experience; OR

A master's degree with a completed thesis or a doctorate in a biological science, marine science, environmental science, wildlife or fisheries, animal science, forestry, or natural resources plus four years of the required specialized experience.

Salary: $5,462.00 - $9,833.00 Monthly
