Job Description
HDR is seeking a Water Resources Engineer in Missoula, MT, to lead project deliverables in water resources planning, hydrology, drainage, and flood control design. Candidates should have a Master's degree, 3 years of experience, and a PE license. The role involves working on large civil works projects and contributing to HDR's mission of making a positive impact on the world.

Primary Responsibilities
The Water Resources Engineer will lead the production of project deliverables from planning stages to final reporting and development of plans and specs. Focus areas include:
• Water resources planning
• Hydrology/hydraulics
• Drainage
• Flood control design
• Irrigation
You will be an integral part of our growing irrigation practice in Montana and the region, working on large civil works projects such as detention facilities, irrigation pumping and conveyance facilities, reservoirs, and hydraulic structures.
Preferred Qualifications
We are looking for candidates with a:
• Master's degree in Engineering or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in water resources engineering projects
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need:
• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or an equivalent field
• Previous experience in water resources engineering projects
• A Professional Engineer (PE) license
• Experience with HEC-1, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, GEO-RAS, storm drain system analysis
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
