Job Summary

Utilities and Sustainability Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Plant Utilities and Sustainability Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing the plant's utility systems, including compressed air, cooling water, steam generation & distribution, and other essential services. Additionally, the role will focus on implementing sustainability initiatives to reduce the environmental impact of our operations. This position reports directly to the site Technology Manager and takes part leading Operations Utilities support.

Utilities and Sustainability Engineer

We seek a highly motivated and experienced Plant Utilities and Sustainability Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing the plant's utility systems, including compressed air, cooling water, steam generation & distribution, and other essential services. Additionally, the role will focus on implementing sustainability initiatives to reduce the environmental impact of our operations. This position reports directly to the site Technology Manager and takes part in leading Operations Utilities support.

Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee the operation of plant utility systems to ensure reliable and efficient performance.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve energy efficiency and reduce utility costs.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits of utility systems to identify areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with the engineering and maintenance teams to troubleshoot and resolve utility-related issues.
• Monitor and analyze utility usage data to track performance and identify trends between plant capacity and process demand.
• Lead sustainability projects aimed at reducing the plant's carbon footprint and environmental impact.
• Prepare and present reports on utility performance and sustainability initiatives to senior management.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in utility management and sustainability practices.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2-5+ years of experience in utility management or a similar role in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of utility systems, including compressed air, cooling water, and steam generation & distribution.
• Experience with energy management and sustainability practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in using utility management software and tools.
