The purpose of this Transport Planner role is to support the transport planning offering in Arup’s Singapore office and our regional business. You will work with broader technical project teams to support project and bid delivery through undertaking transport planning studies, traffic impact assessments, modelling analysis both macro and microsimulation, and future transport studies to support solutions for development and infrastructure projects.
The Opportunity
Works with moderate guidance and support within their area of responsibility and may take ownership of defined aspects of transportation and design projects while ensuring the quality and accuracy of their work.
Supports the delivery of traffic analysis, transportation modelling, and demand forecasting to inform transportation planning and infrastructure projects.
Collaborates with transportation planners, engineers, and urban planners to develop effective and sustainable transportation solutions.
Assists in the development of transportation strategies, policies, and planning studies, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and safety standards.
Represents the team in internal meetings, contributes to small internal initiatives, supports colleagues as needed, and helps ensure project deadlines are achieved.

Is this role right for you?
Recognised relevant tertiary qualifications in transport planning, civil engineering (preferably with transport modules), urban studies or similar areas;
Minimum 2 years of relevant industry experience in the field of transport planning and modelling within a consulting business environment;
Experience in across a broad range of transport planning, masterplanning, strategic modelling, microsimulation modelling, junction modelling and traffic impact assessments.
Deep knowledge of Singapore regulations and approvals processes particularly those for the Land Transport Authority, Singapore (LTA) and Urban Redevelopment Authority, Singapore (URA).
Strong knowledge and project experience in transport modelling and analysis including complex transport impact assessments (TIAs) using SIDRA, VISSIM and VISUM software, as well as other similar modelling packages.
Membership of relevant professional institutions/professional peer bodies or significant credit towards eligibility for membership is an advantage.
