Trades Assistant

Cleanaway Waste Management is seeking a Trades Assistant in Karratha, WA. The role offers $40/hr plus overtime and allowances, focusing on driving and hands-on maintenance tasks. • $40/hr + Overtime Opportunities + Meal Allowance + $550 Regional Allowance
• Permanent position
• Flexibility to travel within the Northwest region
• This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a combination of driving and hands-on tasks. You'll work in a workshop environment, where you will learn basic maintenance skills and travel throughout the Northwest to various Cleanaway depots, assisting with a range of maintenance tasks.

The Opportunity
• Relocating Cleanaway vehicles across the region
• General handyman duties within the yard
• Working with Mechanics: cleaning, site deliveries, managing spare parts
• Testing vehicles and equipment to ensure quality work completion
• Operating small tools for nominated tasks
• Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized workspace

About You
• An unrestricted HC license (MC license preferred)
• A valid Forklift license
• Flexibility to travel within Northwest the region
• Experience in the waste industry (advantageous, but full training is provided)
• Commitment to safety and teamwork
• Availability for varied hours, when overtime work is required
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug screening
