testing operator

Enertechusa is seeking a Testing Operator in Mitchell, SD, responsible for testing geothermal units, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining accurate records. Required skills include computer proficiency, brazing copper joints, and knowledge of HVAC standards (ESCO 608 certification provided). Good attendance, organization, and problem-solving abilities are essential. The position is full-time with no specific degree required.
Minimum Requirements
• Good attendance. Comes to work on time and does not use excessive leave.
• Good organization and housekeeping skills to keep and maintain a clean work area.
• Good computer skills with the ability to use hand-held scanner to scan unit model & serial number from job traveler.
• Ability to maintain records accurately and fill out appropriate information on traveler.
• Ability to braze copper joints using torch.
• Ability to handle quality requirements.
• Having general HVAC knowledge is a plus as ESCO 608 certification is required and will be provided by company.
• Strong analytical & problem solving abilities.
Duties & Responsibilities

Test all geothermal units to required specifications to make sure they pass (leak & run test) at auto test station by connecting test equipment.

Ability to do troubleshooting on geothermal units and help diagnose unit issues (component & electrical).

Operate vacuum/charge equipment and charging units with required refrigerant to specified amount by connecting hoses to process ports.

Ability to braze process tube crimps by using torch & fill material to braze ends of process ports closed.

Perform Dielectric (Hipot) test on units, use leak detector wand to sniff for leaks, install schrader valves in access ports.

Maintain all required paperwork (i.e. quality checklist, computer entry of failures, testing specifications, correct IOM, etc.), learn nomenclature.

Maintain clean and organized workstation.

Operate computers to interpret testing results.
