Job Description
Air Liquide is seeking a Technology Owner for CO2 Capture & Liquefaction in Paris, France. The role involves leading developments in adsorption/absorption technologies, optimizing product competitiveness, coordinating technical solutions, and supporting project execution. Candidates should have an engineering degree or doctorate with experience in gas purification processes, strong analytical and communication skills, and a collaborative mindset. This position is not remote.
Entity Description
Air Liquide Engineering & Construction builds the Group’s production units - mainly air gas separation and renewable and low carbon hydrogen production units - and provides external customers with efficient, sustainable, customized technology and process solutions. We work hand-in-hand with our customers, covering the entire project life cycle, to design the solutions that contribute to the quality of their products and the growth of their business, while optimizing efficiency and reducing the environmental footprint.
Role and Responsibilities
The role of the Technology Owner is to lead the developments related to adsorption and/or absorption technologies (in particular TSA, PSA, quench & scrubbers and particulates removal) within the CO2 Products Development Programs (Product Road Maps) but also to some extent in the proposals and FEEDs phases. Thus their missions will be to:
Develop new solutions for proposals and developments Propose optimizations to the solutions in order to maximize the products competitiveness during proposal and developments Coordinate the disciplines to solve technical issues related to new processes and/or new type of equipment Support the Product Owner in coordinating the Product Road Maps
On top of this general role, the Technology owner will more specifically:
Identify challenges related to his technology scope List uncertainties, assess risks and prioritize studies for each challenge Propose, coordinate & develop solutions with support from experts Compare results and propose recommendations Build strong expertise in the fields of ab/ad-sorption and gas purification Support Product Proposal Managers, Industrialization managers during Proposals, FEEDs and project execution Get the validations from key stakeholders Capture information in reports/memos, presentations and minutes (capitalization) File patent applications Participate in meetings with suppliers Stay informed of the technology developments (R&D, Engineering, suppliers…) in order to integrate them as soon as possible on ongoing proposals and developments

Accountable for the balance between robustness (risk mitigation) and competitiveness (Total Cost of Ownership) of the developed solutions Accountable for the comparison of the solutions Accountable for defined Work Package(s) of the Product Road Map(s)
You will report to the CO2 Product Line Products Owner and work closely with:
CO2 Product Line Director Industrialization Managers, CO2 technology Process Design Authority, CO2 technology Overall Design Authority, Cryogenic technologies Experts
Are you a match?
Engineering degree or a Doctorate in specialized fields such as chemical processes or chemical engineering, and a minimum of 3 years' experience in the field of adsorption/catalysis processes for gas purification and/or flue gas purification (chemical absorption, particulate filtration etc.) Strong analytical abilities, a penchant for innovation in the areas of energy transition and CO2 capture processes. Ability to challenge the status quo. Effective communication and presentation skills, especially when dealing with high-level management. Strong interpersonal skills and a team-oriented mindset, capable of collaborative work and proactive engagement with various stakeholders. Proficiency in English is essential in a global position exchanging with suppliers/customers/other Air Liquide centers. #J-18808-Ljbffr
