TalentBurst is seeking an R&D Electronics Technician for a 6-month onsite contract in Saint Laurent, MB, Canada. The role involves supporting research and development by building prototypes, testing new designs, troubleshooting electronic systems, and maintaining lab equipment. Candidates should have an associate's degree in Electronics Technology and 5+ years of relevant experience. Strong analytical skills and familiarity with various communication protocols are required.

Summary
We are seeking an experienced Electronics Technician to support research and development activities and existing product maintenance. The ideal candidate will work closely with engineering teams to prototype, test, and validate new designs while providing technical support for established products.
Key Responsibilities
• Build and modify prototype electronic systems and assemblies
• Assist engineers in testing and validating new product designs
• Develop and execute test procedures for R&D projects
• Troubleshoot and debug complex electronic systems
• Document test results, experimental procedures, and technical specifications
• Maintain lab equipment and calibration records
• Support existing products through failure analysis and repair
• Create and maintain technical documentation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on product development
Required Qualifications:
• Associate's degree in Electronics Technology or related field
• 5+ years of experience in electronics with emphasis on R&D environment
• Strong knowledge of test equipment (oscilloscopes, signal generators, spectrum analyzers)
• Experience with prototyping and breadboarding techniques
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering schematics and drawings
• Knowledge of various communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, etc.)
• Experience with soldering and rework of through-hole and SMD components
• Familiarity with lab safety procedures and ESD protocols
• Experience with PCB design and layout software

• Adaptable to changing priorities and deadlines
Physical Requirements:
• Manual dexterity for precise electronic work
