Job Description

Federation University Australia is seeking a full-time TAFE Teacher for Wind Power Generation Technician Training in Ballarat, VIC. The role involves delivering and assessing vocational education programs, managing the learning process, and utilizing various teaching strategies. Candidates must hold a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and a relevant trade qualification. The salary ranges from A$80,105 to A$113,575 per year, depending on experience.

About the role

Federation TAFE is home to vocational education and training delivered by Federation University Australia and offers a broad range of quality education and training programs, reflecting state and national priorities that address the training needs of individuals and industry. Our TAFE Teachers are responsible for the delivery and assessment of quality vocational education and training (VET) programs. Encompassing all facets of the learning cycle, the position is required to manage the end-to-end learning process for students from initial enquiry to final assessment using a variety of teaching strategies including recognition of prior learning, online and workplace learning, delivery and assessment as well as traditional classroom delivery.

This role involves delivering a range of Global Wind Organisation (GWO-BTT) and nationally accredited modules/units aligned to the role of Wind Turbine Technician and Turbine Maintenance.

About you

Reporting to the Program Manager, you will have the ability to research, develop and implement innovative and appropriate teaching curriculum while effectively utilising online learning platforms and technologies. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to complete administrative tasks, including the ability to maintain accurate online and physical records.

You will:
• plan, prepare deliver and assess training programs;
• monitor, assess and record student attendance, progress and results;
• participate in internal and external contractual audits; and
• evaluate student teaching and learning resources.

It is a requirement of this position that you hold a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or a diploma or higher level qualification in adult education. In addition, you will posses a trade qualification in Electrotechnology/Mechanical Fitting/Automotive coupled with GWO Basic Technical Training (BTT).
