TasNetworks is seeking a Systems Specialist to enhance decision-making through data and technology within the People Experience team. The role involves driving system improvements, providing expert advice, conducting data analysis, and supporting HR and Safety teams. Candidates should have experience with HRIS, data analysis tools, and strong communication skills. This is a full-time position based in Hobart, Australia, offering a competitive salary and employee benefits.
About The Role
Band 4 - base salary from $96,300 - $125,000 per annum (plus super) - total package to be negotiated with preferred candidate based on skills and experience
The role of Systems Specialist within our People Experience team is a wonderful opportunity for the successful candidate to support and enable smarter decisions through data, systems, and strategy.
Our Systems Specialist will be responsible for driving strategic improvements across our systems and technology solutions, ensuring streamlined processes, smarter data usage, and an enhanced user experience.
In this role, you’ll play a key part in optimising the way we use systems to support our people and safety functions. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities and implement digital solutions aligned with our broader digital strategy.
Key Responsibilities Of The Role Include
• Driving system improvements and configuration to boost process efficiency and user engagement
• Providing expert advice on system utilisation and supporting digital and data maturity through automation
• Conducting in-depth data analysis and reporting to generate actionable insights
• Supporting People and Safety teams with compelling reporting and cost modelling to deliver sustainable value and efficiency
• Delivering training, support, and troubleshooting to system users and liaising with Digital teams to resolve technical issues

You’re a systems-savvy professional with a passion for turning data into actionable insight and making technology work smarter for people. You thrive on enabling better outcomes through automation, analytics, and digital process improvements.

• Experience with HRIS or safety systems, power BI and data analysis tools
• Strong skills in reporting, data cleansing and delivering business intelligence
• An analytical mindset with a keen eye for process improvement
• Excellent communication skills to provide user support and training
• A collaborative approach to working with stakeholders across HR, Safety, and IT
