Sustainability Strategy Lead

JD Ross Energy is seeking a Sustainability Strategy Lead in Australia to manage environmental sustainability projects and client relationships. Responsibilities include overseeing project delivery, developing expertise in sustainability, and ensuring compliance with legislation. Candidates should have 5 years of relevant experience. The role offers a $120K package and career development opportunities in a hybrid work environment, with a preference for candidates based in Canberra, Sydney, or Melbourne.
Work for a national Australian property company on major government initiatives in the sustainability space. This is an opportunity to be part of a brand-new sustainability team dedicated to the projects.

It is a Strategy Lead role where you will be deploying key environmental improvement programs, nurturing client relationships and managing client reporting on project outcomes, achievements.

Responsibilities:
• Oversee environmental sustainability project management and delivery.
• Develop a depth of technical knowledge and professional expertise to promote the Sustainability team within your area of responsibility.
• Oversee Net zero, circular economy and sustainable procurement.
• Research, analytical, and technical report writing skills.
• Knowledge of legislation and regulations (e.g. NGERS, APS Net Zero).
• Plan and organise multiple projects and tasks for the customer and/or stakeholders.

Requirements:
• 5 years' experience in environmental sustainability project management and initiative delivery.
• Excellent research, analytical, and technical report writing skills.
• Knowledge of relevant environmental or energy legislation and regulations (e.g. NGERS, APS Net Zero) desirable.
• Citizen.
• Canberra, Sydney or Melbourne based.
