Job Description
Tyson Foods, Inc. is seeking a Sustainability Senior Director of Business Operations in Springdale, AR. This role involves overseeing administrative and operational tasks in the sustainability department, focusing on business planning, financial operations, and project management. The director will influence strategic planning, manage budgets, and communicate sustainability strategies internally and externally. Candidates should have a bachelor's degree and 10 years of relevant experience, along with strong financial acumen and communication skills.
The Sustainability Sr. Director Business Operations will own responsibility for coordinating and supporting administrative and operations tasks within the sustainability department including business planning, financial operations, project management, technology, and data analytics. Role will develop strategy to analyze and share data within department; accelerate processes; predict needs and implement solutions that drive maximum effectiveness and efficiency.Responsibilities: Influences the future strategy of the overall business division with capability of long-term planningProvides guidance and advice to senior management based on deep subject matter enterpriseAccountable for budget and administrative oversightFocus on strategic alignment across the Sustainability functionLeverages external industry relationships to represent Enterprise appropriatelyResponsible for communicating strategy and Sustainability “storytelling” internally and externallyProvide data and legal analyticsProject manage critical projects in collaboration with cross-department and functional teamsMonitor and track sustainability department performance objectivesCreate metrics, trends of key data points, monitor and track department performance objectivesAssess and provide solutions for resource needsPartner with Chief Sustainability OfficerRequirements:Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in a directly related field.Experience: 10 years of formal and/or business application experience in financial analysis, communication, project management, P&L, sustainabilityComputer Skills: Standard computer skills required.Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills including sharing ideas and information across diverse audiences and making presentations to drive business decisions. Confident and able to be influential and assertive. Ability to synthesize clearly and simplify complex information.Special skills: Developing strong relationships with external and internal customers; candidate must have exceptional financial acumen and problem-solving skills; experience with developing and implementing work systems and processes related to business operationsSupervision: Team of professionals and administrative support staff.Travel: 4-12 domestic trips per yearWork Shift: 1ST SHIFT (United States of America)When completing a Tyson Foods employment application, be sure to complete all tasks listed on the candidate home page.
