Sustainability Professional Intern

The University of Kentucky is seeking a Sustainability Professional Intern to collaborate with university leaders on program development and implementation. Responsibilities include producing an independent project and attending bi-weekly professional development meetings. Candidates should have entry-level knowledge in a relevant field, project planning skills, and the ability to work both independently and in teams. This is an internship position located in Lexington, KY.
About the position

Students filling this position will work with university leaders from a wide range of operational and academic units. Major responsibilities include assisting the development, outreach, and implementation of programs, producing an independent project, and attending bi-weekly cohort meetings for professional development.

Requirements
• Knowledge of or familiarity with defined area of operational/administrative/technical specialty

• Entry-level knowledge and skill at the Bachelors or Masters level within specified area of professional specialty

• Ability to understand and follow complex, detailed technical instructions
,
• Project planning skills
,
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
,
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing

Nice-to-haves
• Bachelor's or Master's degree obtained no earlier than 24 months prior to the date of hire

• No previous work experience required
